This next weekend, there will be a special offering for the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund. The Hearts of Hope quilt, made by a church member in memory of a loved one, will be on display in the Gathering Place on Feb. 5. You are invited to sign a heart to add to the quilt showing love and support for individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS.
The church office will be ordering a batch of name tags this week. If you don’t have one already, consider getting one! Your first one is free and if you need a replacement, it’s $3.50. Snag an order form in the office or send Kate an email at email@example.com.
The United Methodist Women has a bookshelf located in the parlor. There are many good books to read and you don’t have to be a UMW member to check them out! Books are offered in the following categories :: Education for Missions, Nurturing for Community, Social Action, Spiritual Growth and Leadership Development. There’s a complete book list to read through and also instructions for checking out the books. Please stop by and see what is offered and enjoy a good read. If you have questions, contact Barbara Carlson.
A great way to form fellowship and community is around a cup of coffee. If you attend the 9:30 worship, will you stick around after the service to stay for coffee? And if you attend at 11:00, will you come a little early and enjoy coffee with those from the earlier service? You can catch up with those you don’t see often and exchange phone numbers and prayer requests, if you’d like. Please help our church welcome, connect and discover by sharing God’s love over a cup of coffee on Sundays between services!
