Serve Your Neighbor this Thanksgiving

Serve Your Neighbor this Thanksgiving

Last year, a number of UM4GI families served a meal to residents from Hope Harbor and the Crisis Center on Thanksgiving Day.  Residents from these shelters came to Miller Hall at Trinity UMC and were able to sit at a table and be served a meal as though they were in a restaurant.  The members who volunteered gave of their time, while other UM4GI members offered money to cover the costs associated with food.

UM4GI has been invited to serve Hope Harbor residents for Thanksgiving again this year.  If you are able to give of your time—a wonderful way to gather together as family and to give thanks—please contact any UM4GI church office.  If you would like to contribute financially to offset the cost of food, you may contact any church office or leave a check (with “Hope Harbor Thanksgiving” on the memo line) in your worship service’s offering plate.

If you would like to help serve on Thanksgiving Day, please sign up at any UM4GI Church.  The meal will be served at noon in Trinity’s Miller Hall, we are asking that volunteers be available to help from 11:30-1:30 in order to assist in cleaning up as well.
