UM4GI This Week – 8/9/16

Here’s a quick look at UM4GI events this week for August 9th – August 16th as well as this weekend’s preaching schedule!

Worship:

  • First-Faith UMC  – August 14 concludes The Outsiders Series as we encounter “The Neighbor.” Who is our neighbor? The parable of the Good Samaritan reminds us that the outsider is our neighbor, perhaps even more than the so-called “insiders” across the street. Who are the neighbors in your life and how are you called to be a neighbor, inviting and welcoming in spite of perceived differences and disagreements?
  • Trinity UMC – Saturday August 13th & Sunday August 14th Rev. Russell Anderson will be preaching.

Back to School Blessing Sunday, August 21st All Students and Education staff are invited to bring their backpacks, briefcases, or tote bags to worship for a special blessing to begin the new school year surrounded in prayer.
