Five days remain until Christmas!
Take a look at church events happening in the coming week
and the days ahead.


Christmas Worship Services ::

First-Faith UMC 
* A quiet & peaceful Blue Christmas service will be held this Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 6-7 p.m.
* Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 & 7  p .m. on Dec. 24.
* A Christmas morning service will be held at 9:30 a.m.
First-Faith is located at 4190 Capital Avenue in Grand Island.

Trinity UMC
Christmas Eve services (candlelight & communion) will be held at 5, 7 & 10 p.m. on Dec. 24.
*A Christmas morning service will be held at 9:30 a.m.
Trinity is located at 511 N. Elm in Grand Island.


Youth Activities ::

Footprints UMYF welcomes all 6th-12th graders to experience a deeper walk with God as we gather every Sunday evening from 5:45-7:30 p.m. for food, fun, and fellowship in the First-Faith Fellowship Hall!

Zone & Youth Group will be held from 7-8 p.m. this week on Wednesday at Trinity. Next Wednesday, Dec. 21, is the Zone Christmas Party in Miller Hall! Youth can bring a snack or drink to share and be sure to wear comfy clothes and tennis shoes.

There will be no nursery available during the Christmas Eve or Christmas Day services at Trinity. There will also be no Sunday School Dec. 25, and no Zone or Youth Group on Wednesday, Dec. 28. We hope this holiday break will allow you to enjoy your family & friends as we celebrate the birth of Jesus!

There will be a Blessing of the Toys for the children at Trinity’s 9:30 a.m. service on Christmas Day.

Sudanese Youth meet on Sundays at 1 pm in the Trinity Gathering Place. There will be an Arabic Sudanese Worship in Gollaher Chapel on Christmas at noon, though there will be no 1:00 p.m. Sunday School or Nursery on Dec. 25.


Other News ::

Faith on Tap will be meeting this Wednesday at 7:00. Come to Nathan Detroit’s (316 N. Pine) for some faith discussion!

Giving envelopes are now available in the Narthex. Financial gifts should be postmarked or turned into the office by Dec. 31 to count for 2016.

There are still a few bags of pecans left! If you’re interested, give Margie Balderston a call at 308-382-3272. They are $9 for a pound and you can freeze them for up to two years!

If anyone is interested in helping with snow removal in the church parking lots for snowy winter days, please contact the church office at 382-1952.


If you have any photographs from church events this past year, please send your top few to Kate at publications@um4gi.org to potentially be used in a special Christmas Ministry Moments video.
