Life Line Screening at First-Faith UMC

Life Line Screening at First-Faith UMC

First-Faith UMC is partnering with Life Line Screening in an effort to help save lives on June 19th.  The mission of Life Line Screening is to help people identify undetected health problems by hosting a preventative stroke/vascular screening event like this one to be held at First UMC.  Through ultrasound, carotid arteries can be evalulated for the buildup of fatty plaque, which is the leading cause of stroke.

Every 40 seconds someone suffers a stroke.  Every 3 minutes someone dies from one.  According to the National Stroke Association, approximately 97% of Americans cannot recognize the signs of stroke.  That is why a mobile health screening service, like Life Line Screening, can be so important.  These tests are not typically offered during a regular physical, so stroke prevention often lies in our own hands.  Stroke can change your life and even take your life.  Please consider taking part in these necessary screenings to detect abnormalities before they cause a stroke or other serious event.

Register today for the Stroke, Vascular & Heart Rhythm package with Life Line Screening!  This package includes four screenings:  carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease and atrial fibrillation.  We are encouraging our members to register for this event through one of the “Helping Hands” sign-up methods listed below.  By signing up in this way, our parish members will receive a $10 discount off any package of $149 or more and First UMC will receive a matching $10 donation for every member that signs up and attends the event.  The sign-up methods are as follows:

Life Line Screening will not be making a donation for every attendee, rather they will make a donation for every person who signs up through on of the above exclusive “Helping Hands” methods.  For more information, call any UM4GI church office.
