Nearly 1000 United Methodist clergy and laity have begun worshiping and meeting together at this year’s General Conference in Tampa, Florida. This General Conference meets each quadrennium (every four years) to celebrate The United Methodist Church and to do the business of the global denomination. Decisions made may affect the overall structure of the church, social statements, budgets and expenditures, changes to the Book of Discipline and the Book of Resolutions, and much more.
We at UM4GI hold our sisters and brothers in prayer as they work toward the future of The United Methodist Church. You can follow along with legislation and other news by clicking here.
