Turning Christmas Upside-Down #16

Tonight’s activity for the Upside-Down Christmas Group was shopping for Toys for Tots, which is organized partly by the Heartland United Way in Grand Island.

The preschoolers that went had a very hard time grasping that they were looking for toys they would like to give to others. The early elementary-aged kids – who have been doing things like this every year for a while – really understood and showed great generosity in their toy picking. I take this as proof that good lessons take a long time to learn.
