Paralleling our look at commitment to Christ’s ministry, UM4GI is offering a book study for September: Enough-Discovering Joy Through Simplicity & Generosity by United Methodist pastor Adam Hamilton. In Enough, Hamilton leads us on a practical and spiritual journey of self-examination, helping us see, understand, and change (if necessary) our relationships with the world and its stuff.
You can pick up a copy of the book (we’re using the 2012 version) at any UM4GI church office. Cover price, if you’re able, is $10 and donations for others are welcome.
You can read the book alone, or join a group (see days/times at left). Groups can use a DVD to facilitate the study. Please plan for four sessions and read the intro and first chapter before your first meeting (or come prepared to talk and read later).
Participate in any of the following sessions:
- Sundays, 6-7pm starting Sept. 9th, facilitated by Joyce McKinny (contact a UM4GI office for address)
- Sundays, 10:45am, starting September 9th at Faith, facilitated by Larry Coates
- Tuesdays, 1:30pm, Trinity’s Conference Room starting September 4th, facilitated by Bette Pore (4th session—Wed. Sept.26)
- Thursdays, 6:30 pm, starting September 9th at Faith, facilitated by Matt Fowler
