Endings and beginnings are so closely tied together.
I’m preparing to celebrate our daughter Mozelle’s graduation from high school, an ending—yet a transition to a new beginning with college. I’ve been sorting through old pictures, including baby pictures, which seems like yesterday, and yet so long ago.
Our lives are full of beginnings and endings. Birth, graduation, retirement, death, and other transitions often fill us with grief, relief, anxiety, excitement, hope, sadness, joy – sometimes all at once.
At UM4GI, we are grieving as Bob and Chad prepare to move and excited as Darren and Karla prepare to join our UM4GI pastoral staff. But in all of our transitions of life and death and change, God offers us grace and support through Jesus who is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega.
As Paul has said, “nothing can separate us from the love of God” (Romans 8).
